had a great time at the tongue hotel. food was really good n staff were super welcoming. my room was spacious and comfy with nice views. felt very at home here, like i was chillin with friends. location is perfect for explore around scotland.

didn’t really like the hard beds n breakfast was kinda lacking. also, the shower took ages to warm up.

A lovely retreat during our NC500 trip! The comfortable room pleased us, adorned with thoughtful touches. We savored excellent dinner options, especially the risotto, bursting with fresh flavors. Tip, Check meal timings to fully enjoy the experience. A scenic walk to Castle Varrich added a memorable touch.

The Tongue Hotel pulled through for me during a recent NC500 adventure. The warm welcome from the owners set a cozy tone. My room offered stunning views, and the decor had charming antique touches. Dining exceeded my expectations. every dish was well-presented and sourced locally. Even the breakfast felt generous, with a delightful bag waiting for me in the morning. One downside was the cold room upon arrival. the heating wasn’t up to par. I also experienced patchy Wi-Fi, which was frustrating while trying to plan my next stop. Despite minor inconveniences, the overall environment was inviting and made me feel at home.
